This was supposed to be an entry for a
random game giveaway from Reddit. However I didn't qualify because I only have 5 karma points (I rarely used Reddit to comment).
One of my earliest consoles was the FamiCom but it wasn't ours but from our neighbors. I remember visiting our neighbors just to watch them play games like Super Mario; just hearing its music makes me want to go out, I eventually got addicted to the sound of 8-bit games. It took our home some time before my dad had finally been able to bring home a FamiCom-like console with a 50-in-1 cartridge. Man, I spent years perfecting those games (and I still haven't perfected them all).
But before the FamiCom era, the only computer my father owned was an Atari... and it only had a few set of game catridges (which looks way more premium than a FamiCom catridge): Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger, and Super Cobra! I remember loving Frogger but hating Super Cobra for its fixed moving screen—it always had made me want to break my joystick! And lastly, I also had learned how to program in BASIC because of Atari's built-in keyboard.
